Spec.-Ops. Brand Introduces OVER-ARMOR Vest for Interceptor Body Armor System

MONAHANS, TX (August 10, 2005) – Spec.-Ops. Brand today introduced the OVER-ARMOR™ Vest for the Interceptor Body Armor System, the latest innovation in its line of pioneering, high-performance tactical nylon gear for military, law enforcement and other demanding applications.

OVER-ARMOR was demonstrated for U.S. Representative Mike Conaway (R-Texas 11th) during his visit to the company’s advanced design and manufacturing facility here. Conaway sits on the House Armed Services Committee overseeing military affairs.

Spec.-Ops Brand developed OVER-ARMOR in response to direct feedback from U.S. troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, who wanted to maximize “on-body cargo” carrying capacity.  They also needed to be able to quickly and easily remove the carried load from their body armor.  Spec.-Ops. It has large hook-and-loop frontal panels to accommodate name rank and insignia, as well as numerous GRID-LOK™ loops to offer maximum flexibility in attaching pouches and mission-specific gear.
