the Frontal Assault Pouch carries well on a chest rig, though it may not be perfectly aligned due to it taking an odd number of molle (3 rows of molle) but for the price you cant best it. I use it as an admin pouch (Posted on 5/27/2015)

Got this for THE PACK TAC, does not fit centered on rear Molly points? Would work on side Molly at bottom only. Seems to be made more for vest applications. Still great gear! (Posted on 1/11/2014)

Great addition to the T.H.E. Pack, lets you hold batteries, hand sanitizer, add IFF patches, rank, name, or any other patch to the front of your bag. (Posted on 12/16/2013)

The problem with most tac vests / armor carriers is that there are no general use exterior pockets. The solution is the Frontal Assault Pouch. It's perfect for things that you will need in an incidental manner, or that don't quite have a sensible "home." (Posted on 11/15/2013)

A Handy Little BagReview by Jamie

My first thoughts upon receiving the Frontal Assault Pouch (old design) was "what a weird little bag".
For a few weeks it was rotated in and out of various uses/locations on my T.H.E, Pack and finally migrated to the waist belt.
After a couple of hikes though it still didn't feel like it had found a home.
I was about to remove it and just use it for small items in the pack when inspiration struck and I tried mounting it on the right shoulder strap; Perfection!
The little keeper strap keeps it locked in a vertical orientation and it is now one of the handiest bags in my system!
It holds cellphone/camera, gum, earplugs, wallet/ID; pretty much anything that I might need at a moments notice.
It's a quirky little bag that you will find a multitude of uses for.
For the money it's almost silly not to try one.
A+

I have this on my REI pack strap. Small cameras, beef jerky, a small trail knife (folder), sunglasses, keys, first aid (An Israeli dressing and a TQ fit perfect!), will all find a home in this indispensable pouch. However, the won't all fit at the same time, ha!

I suppose that's an excuse to buy more than one, now isn't it! (Posted on 8/8/2012)

This is crucial in keeping the small items (GPS, camera, phone, etc) that you need from getting buried in the larger pouches. They are still easy to access and while it doesn't take up much room. Great buy. (Posted on 12/3/2011)

I originally bought one of these back during OIF 06 in DCU color scheme to use a camera pouch. It had ample room to hold my pocket camera, and it was very durable, I eventually gave it away to another soldier as I was leaving Iraq. The only dings against the old design was that it didn't have any MOLLE/PALS attachment so I had to use 550 cord to put it on my vest, or so I remember However I'm buying one again, in woodland camo to be used as a simple general purpose pouch or maybe even as a gift.
